Hardwood Floors Installations
From a simple straight lay bedroom to a complicated design on your living room’s floor – we do it all.
Yet there certain rules and requirements that apply to insure your floor will flawlessly perform for the years to come. Joists plan, joists span, type of the substrate used (plywood/OSB) – everything needs to be accounted for. To get a detailed quote, please book your estimate today!
In this project carpet in the living room was replaced with unfinished maple hardwood floor to match existing hardwood in the kitchen, nook, and foyer. The new floor features a 2 strip header of Santos Mahogany (redwood)/maple around the fire place and a matching 3 strip border- divider between new and existing floor. Both parts are finished with the oil-based sealer to achieve warm tone and top- coated with Bona Mega waterborne poly.

This type of layout is quite common to newer homes these days - hardwood floor in the kitchen, nook and hallways, carpet in living room. In this particular project layout of the kitchen called for a broken up line of the reducer to extend the space in front of the isle.
Existing birch #1 common grade - existing floor in nook, kitchen and hallway areas. To bring some contrast into the picture, second grade sugar maple hardwood was used for the new floor. This eliminated the need for feather in as well as gave space to some creativity - feature strips and diagonal layout of the new floor. Please see "Our work" section for more pictures of this project.
Our company installed this Black Walnut floor on the main level of the house almost five years ago. This picture proves two things:
1)Black Walnut does change color over time towards the blonde/yellow;
2) Performance of the floor was excellent from the day we installed it to the day we came back five years later to install another floor upstairs (first picture in this gallery).
This is what I call "returning business"!
